WE DON’T JUST GO TO CHURCH,
WE ARE THE CHURCH!
At Grace Lutheran, We Have A Very Active Community Outreach! Here are just a few of the ways Grace Lutherans share Christ’s love in our community.
RUTH’S HOUSE: This very important ministry helps female victims of domestic violence. Grace makes donations of cash and other valuables including time.
ZION KITCHEN: Zion Kitchen feeds those in our community who struggle with hunger on a daily basis. Grace members donate and cook food for this shelter on a monthly basis. Additionally, Grace Lutheran provides funding, clothing, and other goods for Zion Shelter.
OPEN DOOR: New to Washington in 2019, this shelter provides overnight housing and an evening meal for homeless women and their children. Grace members donate food items as well as funding.
EAGLES WINGS: This food pantry provides food for needy Beaufort County residents. Grace has been providing funds, volunteers and food.
COASTAL PREGNANCY: During Lent, Grace members donate needed goods and funding.
RED CROSS: Grace’s Fellowship Hall is used as a shelter for those affected by tragedy, and we are trained to staff the shelter ourselves.
PUBLIC PRESENCE: As Christians we are committed to going out into the world and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ in word and deed. Some ways in which we do this are:
> Grace members volunteering at the North Carolina Estuarium, local non-profits, the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, Vidant-Beaufort Hospital, Washington Blind Center, local schools, and many more!
> Participating in community worship services year-round
